Fax workflows
Transfers with a paper trail
A prescription transfer is a legal record as much as a fax: who requested it, what was sent, when it was received. FaxRx treats it that way - transfer request forms from the library, delivery confirmation on every send, and a chain-hashed audit log behind the whole exchange.
How FaxRx handles it
Transfer forms in the library
Start from a pharmacy transfer request form, fill it in the browser, and send. Save your own version as a branded template so the next transfer takes a minute, not ten.
A number pharmacies already know
Keep a dedicated FaxRx number for transfer traffic - or port the number your neighboring pharmacies and prescribers already dial. Porting is free on Professional and Enterprise.
Every step on the record
Delivery confirmation on the outbound, PDFs in the inbox on the inbound, and chain-hashed audit logs across all of it. When a board question or an audit lands, the trail is already there.
The archive that answers back
Search your full fax history by pharmacy, number, date, or status. Six-month-old transfer? It is a search, not an archaeology project.
Questions teams ask
Can I keep the fax number my transfers already come to?
Yes, on Professional and Enterprise: porting into FaxRx is free, typically takes 5-10 days, and we handle the carrier paperwork. Your line keeps working until the port completes.
Is FaxRx appropriate for transfer documents with PHI?
Yes. A BAA is signed on every plan during onboarding, documents are encrypted in transit and at rest in private isolated storage, and access is recorded in chain-hashed audit logs.
Do transfers count against my monthly pages?
Outbound pages draw on your monthly allowance; if you run long, prepaid credit packs top you up and never expire. Inbound receiving is never cut off by your balance.
What does it cost?
FaxRx plans: $15/mo for 300 pages, $39/mo for 1,000 pages, or $99/mo for 3,000 pages - month to month, BAA included on every plan, free number porting on Professional and Enterprise.
